Consumers Would Want to be Warned About Some Products and Suppliers
Which brands perform the best?
What are the differences between them?
Which brands are the originals and which are cheap copies?
As the e-cigarette explodes in popularity, so does the number of people trying to make money from it.
Some suppliers resort to nefarious means to promote their products. Get the facts before you buy!
All inLife products are now supplied by an FDA APPROVED LAB!
All ingredients contained in inLife products are
Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by the FDA.
The other e-cig companies can't say that!
<<< READ THE REPORT HERE >>>
We are also the only company that offers a SOLID STATE battery!!!
(All other companies offer the inferior lithium battery.)
It is possible to buy cheaper, but it is not possible to buy better quality.
Below are some customer comments I found on some on-line discussion forums.

BLUCIGS
(Comment on Discussion Forum)
Have been getting a lot of promotion on the forum from non-established members. Blu have been monitoring the forum but have not participated here themselves to sort out issues. It's not clear if publicity here is a marketing strategy.
NOTES: Their website says, "Due to continued inventory challenges, it may take between 4-6 weeks for orders to be shipped" and yet when you read the shipping information it says, "Orders are typically received within 10 business days of shipping". Which is the truth?
They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
CANADIAN
The canadian retail chain "Showcase: As seen on TV" has just started carrying the "Quantum e-cigarette". Looks like a generic penstyle with one difference ....... NO HOLES IN THE ATOMIZER!!! That's right, a no-hole atomizer. There is nowhere to draw air in once the battery is screwed on. Little to no vapour production and the 8 carts included are all 0 nicotine. It's being marketed PURELY as a stop smoking device. How is that even possible if it dosen't have any draw? Don't let the low low price of $69.99 tempt you. It's crap. My new favorite pastime led me to make a hasty decision and buy this thing without thorough inspection.....and of course, 14 day return only on defective units for store credit. No warranty.
DEALEXTREME
(First Comment)
A poll on Dealextreme esmoking products shows that around 50% do not last a day - Dealextreme esmoking products (If you are lucky you will get a good one and they seem to be rated well considering the low price. The low survival rate applies only to esmoking products, other products haven't been assessed.)
(Second Comment)
Website says "with Charger and 6-Refills Set costs only $9.95". Cheap is cheap, but I want reliability!
Customer reviews posted on their own website:
(Review #1)
DID NOT Work AT ALL , CAME dead TO ME. No smoke comes out no charge, led is not operating and thats all..... bad quality..... better testing before sending to consumers.
(Review #2)
DX stop selling this crap. Be pros for a change and try to work with good e-cigarette products... try also to sell filters that fits all..., after testing yourselfs. Do not advertise filters that are not compatible MAKE them compatible!
(Review #3)
Do not bother spend your money on this one, buy from elsewhere. BAD quality product... We are not idiots!!!
(Review #4)
Battery was DOA. tried charging it and it got hot enough to burn the skin if touched. Sending this back will cost almost 6$ in postage and as it only cost 10$ to begin with, it makes it uneconomical to try to get it replaced by DX.
NOTES: They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
E-CIG.COM
(First comment)
I ordered my first e-cig (MiniCig) from E-cig.com Dec.01'08. Both batteries crapped out after only 18 days of very light use! Now I have a ton of carts and no way to use them. After several attempts to email E-cig.com about the issue I finally received help with the online chat Rep on their site. Be warned, ya better know the warranty or they'll try to scam ya into thinking you gotta pay for shipping or buy more products so they can throw the replacement batteries in for free with the order. I will not be ordering from them ever again that's for sure. I did like that lil' MiniCig though....before it died.
(Second comment)
I have had very poor results using e-cig.com.
I found their shipping costs to be very expensive.
The customer service, are poor.
The products ordered faulty, and of poor quality.
(Third comment)
Ecig.com did eventually sent out the new mini ecigs after a few months. Their customer service, quality of product and reliability are still rated very low.
(Fourth comment)
I bought my first device from them last January; it didn't work well, but I had nothing to compare it with. Then I was shorted 50ml of liquid on an order, and my other paid-for liquid got stuck in Customs due to E-Cig's lies about contents and value. E-Cig.com used to have a forum, and I made constructive suggestions to them. When I posted a problem, however, they banned me. The forum was overflowing with vitriolic customers from many companies who had received defective products or not been delivered products they'd paid for. This is one sorry company, folks. It's response? It killed the forum.
(Fifth comment)
Have a reputation for shoddy goods, slow shipping and bad customer service.
NOTES: They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
NJOY
(First Comment)
I have been trying to get a hold of Njoy Customer Service all morning about yet another product of theirs failing on me. No one ever answers the phone for them! I am done with giving my money to that careless company!!! I don't know how many of you out there give NJoy your business, but I believe it is in everyone's best interest to stay away from them. I am sick of bad service and poor quality, and that seems to be what NJoy is all about.
(Second Comment)
I still have the Njoy that was my first e-cig purchased but I keep it as a spare since their atomizers don't hold up for more than a couple of weeks of heavy smoking and they only have two holes which make them really hard to draw. I got tired of calling and waiting and sending them back.
NOTES: They offer wholesale pricing and a re-sale business opportunity but the marketing plan is not very lucrative. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
CROWN7.COM
(First Comment)
I recently purchased two Crown7 Hydra kits. First is the shippng. It took almost 2 weeks for me to receive the units. He was in the states so i expected a several day turnaround. No such luck. They use Fedx Ground to ship their products which i did not know about until i received the conformation email. Payment was via Paypal and is only a problem if you have a return.
The high quality of the devices that he sells, is not accurate. I now know that they appear to be Re-branded Black Liberty Cigarettes. I have been very disattisfied with these units. I have one battery that just blinks every time you puff on it. I emailed him a week ago and received a reply that said he will replace it. I also placed a second order for several atomizers and batteries the same day. I have not received a shipping notice as of yet. Today I emailed a cancelation of the order as it has not been shipped. This was done several hours ago, and no response. In the manual for the cigarette it states the battery is supposed to last between 8-48 hrs. I guess that is total life, lol. In reality the batteries last maybe an hour and barely will charge quick enough with 2 batteries. The atomizers are very small and are very weak vapor producers. If i was not so sure that Vaping is so much better than regular smokes, I would have given up on them.
To date I have not received any indication that my replacement battery has been sent as well.
I'm a very patient person until you do not communicate with me. He had almost no Customer service. No communication and promoting his products as being a cut above is just false advertising.
I whole-heartedly suggest that you do not buy from this retailer.
(Second Comment)
Crown7 has someone posting false reviews and undercover advertising.
NOTES: They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
INTELLICIGS.COM
(First Comment)
Okay, I am going to add intellicigs.com to the list. I ordered my starter kit in Dec 08, finally recieved product 2 1/2 weeks later, I had emailed them numerous times, I did get emails back but later found out that they were telling me alot of b.s. They said it was shipped and on its way to me when I finally received the mailing date was 2 days before I received it. They sent me the wrong battery and only sent one when I ordered two. They returned my email about the missing batteries and the one that was the wrong led color, saying the would mail them asap. I still havent gotten them. They don't answer their phone (always a machine). I am STILL waiting. The evo that I did recieve is working well, I am limited to the one battery so I can not quit my regular smokes until I receive my other batteries. (I freak out when the battery goes dead.)
(Second Comment)
Intellicigs.com also trading as Logicig - problems with not shipping product etc.
NOTES: They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
SMOKINGEVERYWHERE
(First Comment)
There are threads about Smokingeverywhere popping up regularly, they seem to be doing well at charging a lot for a poor product and service. If you want to know more do a tag search for them.
(Second Comment)
Smokingeverywhere is described as overpriced, poor quality products without after-sales support. My reciept is stamped at the bottom, "No Refunds, Exchanges Only". I did not get that receipt until after I made the purchase and it does not have my signature on it, so hopefully they will take it back. I have only had it for two days.
(Third Comment)
I just bought my first electronic cigarette. I first looked online and now wish I would have read these forums first. The first website I saw was minicigarette.com and the starter kit was 59.99. Well I had heard there was a kiosk at the local mall here and so I went there expecting the price range to be the same. The company was SmokingEverywhere. I paid 150.00 for the pack with 2 cigs (can only use one at a time while one is charging), charger, cord, and 1-pack of 5 filters that have 16mg nicotine each. I have only had it for 2 days and the first day it seems one of my batteries is dead. The charger says its fully charged but when I take a drag I the "cherry" blinks twice and then nothing. I am taking it back to the store tonight to get that one replaced.
(Fourth Comment)
SmokingEverywhere - have become a big seller in the US. False claims, very expensive, no return policy and the product is a standard RN4081.
NOTES: They offer a business opportunity for independent distributors but they also offer retail stores and chains the ability to purchase stock with quantity discounts to sell in their stores -- how can an independent distributor running a home business compete with THAT?! Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
ELECTRONIC CIGARETTE COMPANY (UK)
Another green eliquid turned up, this time from The Electronic Cigarette Company (UK).....generic juice also turning green.
NOTES: They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility.
SMOKENOTAR
Just a word on a UK trader called smokenotar.com.
Apparently some people have paid for products from this seller but the goods never turned up. Smokenotar ceased trading - allegedly because the owner is in hospital (that notice didn't go up until January and we've been left dangling since November - in my case - or even sooner). I hope they will be punished for defrauding a lot of people out of some of their hard-earned money.
EPUFFER.COM
(First Comment)
I decided on epuffer.com due to some reviews and some great savings around the time I was purchasing. My purchase was the EAZE Micro starter kit for 129.99.
Shipping took a little longer than I had expected; was almost 2 full weeks before the item arrived in my mailbox. I was very excited to try it out and quickly loaded up the fake cigarette.
Two days into my new lifestyle of not smoking; I arrive at work and load up a cartridge and start puffing away ..... well I was puffing only air. Flustered, I tried my other battery to no avail. My atomizer had gone bad within 48 hours!! I couldn't believe it to say the least. Fighting the urge to use tobacco again, I emailed epuffer.com and asked for a replacement atomizer. Somehow I thought they would be emailing me right back with an apology and words of a new atomizer on its way, but that wasn't to be.
Two days later, on a Saturday they email me back, saying that I can order a small item off their website and they will include another atomizer in the shipping, for free of course. I don't know of any other company that would tell a customer to buy something else to replace a defective item that should have been replaced for free. Since I was desperate I decided to get a USB charger and some extra juice for the workplace ..... another $50.00 spent.
Nine days later my replacement arrives; over joyed and a little twitchy from not having any nicotine I loaded up my new atomizer and started to happily puff away..... Unfortunatley that is where my happiness ended. Four days later; both of my batteries go BAD! Not even 10 hours later both of my chargers DIE, even the new USB charger I had just ordered. I cannot believe what is happening; everything I have purchased from them has died in less than 25 days of purchase.
At this point, it's safe to say that I'm fed up with epuffer.com and have decided to return my equipment for a refund, or at least that's what I thought. To this day, I have sent 5 emails to epuffer.com with the same story above, asking for an RMA label to send back their defective equipment and get my money back. I have yet to hear anything from them. What poor customer service, and what a poor way to introduce a product to someone who is trying to quit smoking. For the short time that my e-cig did work, I hyped it up to all my friends and family who were on the fence about smoking. I can safely say now to them to NOT even consider dealing epuffer.com!!
I just needed to get the word out that epuffer.com doesn't care about me or the fact that their equipment is absolute crap. I've also filed a complaint with the BBB and the BBB of Canada. I wish that my experience, especially the first time was better, but in these tough economic times it looks like they are only out for a quick buck, borderline scam.
(Second Comment)
Thought I should post a quick update......
Epuffer finally responded to my 5th note. (the only way to contact them is by e-mail through their website) I explained that the Micro system that had been sent to me was not working. To me the atomizer was not doing its job. The answer I got was that I should buy a different product. That I should buy the Magmum, quote "The electronic cigarette model that you've tried is designed for a light smoker. If you smoke more than ten cigarettes a day we highly recommend trying our latest model EAZE Magnum".
Well I didn't just 'try' it, I paid for it, and stuff to go with it. When I replied I said that nowhere on the website did it say anything about being less than 10 cigs a day, the response was that the info was in the manual. Duh!! You don't get the manual till AFTER you have bought it!!
(Third Comment)
Epuffer is on my s*** list. I ordered a supermini from them, took a long time to recieve it, and it was a p.o.s. in my opinion, very little vapor and batteries lasted 1 1/2 hours max. So I got an RMA from them, sent it back exactly how they said to, and it has been 3 weeks now, no refund and two emails sent and NO reply. Im not a happy camper and I will be contacting the proper authorities to file a complaint. My only recourse is to trash them on-line for now, and trash I shall.
(Fourth Comment)
Bad customer service, possible scam on currency conversion and restocking fees.
NOTES: They offer an affiliate program (in which they control all aspects of selling, shipping, customer communication and customer service) and they also allow you to buy at a quantity discount to re-sell in your place of business but only if you are a "Qualified Reseller". The only Qualified Resellers listed on their website are:
- Tobacco Shops
- Gift Shops
- Convenient Stores
- Retail Stores
- Restaurants
- Night Clubs
- Bars
- Casinos
Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
VAPORBORO
(First Comment)
I bought one local (I think it's a m402 due to the 96MM length) the second battery has a fouled switch in it and you have to suck like mad to get it to turn on. The card inside said it has a one year warranty but when I try to email them all the mail gets returned. I think I might have made a mistake in my purchase. But I haven't had a analog in almost 2 days thanks to buying 2 crappy ones until I could find a good one (sort of) to puff on and get my e-juice in the mail.
NOTES: They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
SMOKE51
(First Comment)
Smoke51 is a company who I thought would be worth my money but so far their customer service has been horrible for the situation at hand. I ordered the "Express Starter Kit" which includes; 1 battery, two 4mg cartridges, a nifty cigarette case with room for 2 batteries, an extra cartridge, and a USB charger which is included with the kit. I also ordered 1 months worth of 6mg cartridges, and it all arrived in less than 3 days. At that point I was very satisfied. My battery lasted 4 hours out of package, then needed to be recharged. When I attempted to do so using the included USB charger, it crashed every computer I plugged it into. The next day, I sent both the charger AND the battery back via 1st class mail. Nearly 2 weeks later, I recieved ONLY a replacement battery. WHERE WAS THE CHARGER??!! And why the hell did it take so long to ship to me?? I feel that Smoke51 has a poor sense of customer value and have started research on whether or not there is a brand that is compatible with Smoke51 cartridges so as not to waste what I have ordered. I found that there are a couple brands that are rumored to work, one of which is in Arizona not Florida, so the shipping will be less distance and there's no excuse for a hurricane. In the mean time ..... I wait for Smoke51's response to my nasty letters and messages as to where the hell my charger is.
(Second Comment)
I got the Smoke51 kit which came with 2 batteries. One battery died. I tried to return it. They said come back in 4 days. I said give me one thats on display he said no. So i switched it when he wasn't looking. Then the second battery died, then the swapped third battery died. I wouldn't recommend Smoke51 !
NOTES: They offer no wholesale pricing and no re-sale business opportunity, only full retail price. They do offer an affiliate program. Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
JOHNSON CREEK
Some of their eliquids turn green. The cause has been said to be temperature, light or oxidation but is still unknown and hasn't been reproduced by a lab for analysis apparently. The implications of this for health are unknown.
NOTES: They not only sell to retail stores, they also offer private labelling so that you can sell their product disguised under your own name. Too much competition for me! Also, their products are not manufactured in an FDA approved facility and their batteries are the inferior lithium style batteries and NOT solid-state batteries.
Our InLife brand is definitely the best quality electronic cigarette out there yet with the best customer service.
You can buy a cheaper one, but you cannot buy a more reliable and/or higher quality e-cig!!!
